On November 2-3, ad:tech, an industry leader in marketing and media technology, is hosting the first ever Startup World Cup regional competition in New York. The event will be part of a series of global conferences and competitions that seek to find the industry’s most talented entrepreneurs and disruptive startups.
The event’s theme, “Shift, Experience, Reimagine,” hopes to spotlight the brightest startups in field fields of video, virtual reality, media, wearables and more. The Startup World Cup was organized by Fenox Venture Capital, a Silicon Valley VC firm, and the November event will be the U.S. debut.
“The soul of our event is innovation and the spirit of competition that often goes hand in hand with it,” said John Durham, GM for ad:tech New York.
At the event, ad:tech will bring together more than 5,000 innovators and practitioners from around the world to provide powerful business solutions to the modern consumer, and East Coast startups will get the chance to network with these elite VCs and entrepreneurs.
The NY event is one of 16 regional events across North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. The winner of the pitch competition will represent the region against the 15 other winners at the Grand Finale in San Francisco on March 24, 2017, where they will compete for a $1,000,000 investment prize.
