FirstBank’s 90 Seconds to Success Competition Now Open for Small Business Owners

Colorado's 2nd largest bank, FirstBank had announced the return of its video competition which has been renamed as “90 Seconds to Success”. The competition will award two small business winners, one in Colorado and the other in Arizona. The two winners will each receive a grand prize of $20,000 and the runner-ups in both states will receive $2,500.

The window for entry into the “90 Seconds to Success” video competition is from October 3rd to 21st 2016. The prerequisite for this competition is the submission of a 90-second video explaining how the money they hope to receive can help grow their business. The rubric for judging will consist of 20% for originality, 30% for creativity, and 50% on content. The finalists will be chosen by November 11th. And the winners will be selected through popular vote on FirstBank's Facebook page during November 7th to 13th. The grand winners will be announced on November 14th.

Last year's winner for Colorado was Fox Hollow Animal Hospital which was chosen out of 500 contestants. Being a small family-owned business, the hospital needed the money in order to improve their care of animals. The $20,000 award has done wonders for them, as founder Dr. Tony Henderson states that “the prize money arrived just at the right time because we were expanding our facility and really needed equipment”.

“As a community bank, it’s important we support businesses that play a key role in job creation and economic development. This contest is just one way we help local companies grow,” says John Ikard, the CEO of FirstBank. FirstBank has a history of supporting small businesses with creative contests, promotions and advertising campaigns.
