Opportunities are abundant for startups who are seeking to innovate in education, as AT&T now has its application period open for its 2017 ATT Aspire Accelerator. The AT&T Aspire Accelerator provides participants with invaluable resources, services, access to expertise and networking opportunities.
Those who selected for the Aspire program will receive an investment of $100,000 and an additional $25,000 investment to cover program expenses. The Aspire Accelerator differs from other accelerator programs in that participants can remain in their native locations without having to relocate.
“The fact that it's six months long, the fact that there are relationships built, and the fact that they have an alumni community that continues to help support us and help us support each other is all important to me,” says Melissa Risteff, the CEO of Couragion. Couragion is one of the several alumni of the program. Others include Talking Points, Bitsbox, Commonlit, Quill, etc. all of which are focused on the strengthening of education via the use of technology.
The deadline for applications is February 7th and selected candidates will be notified in April. The accelerator will commence in May with a kickoff event and reach completion in November with a demo day event.
